“From Chains to Freedom: Abandoned Farm Dog Finally Gets a Chance to Experience Puppyhood”

While driving by, someone noticed Violet the dog and a bunch of other pooches who were all chained up using these seriously heavy-duty metal chains. Not only were these chains preventing them from running around and having fun, but they were also doing some serious damage to the pups themselves.

When Violet was found, she was already two years old and it seemed like she had spent her entire life being chained up. NMDOG’s founder and director, Angela Stell, believes that this was the case. Violet was one of six dogs who were discovered on a property in New Mexico. In this state, it is against the law to keep dogs chained if they are not under direct human supervision.

The local county sheriff’s department was sent to the property to find the owners, but it seemed like the dogs had been left behind. NMDOG took in all of the dogs, including Violet, and started their journey to recovery.

According to Stell, Violet was surprised and remains slightly uneasy. It is believed that her conduct may have led to mistreatment.

Thankfully, the little dog is doing well and is on the road to recovery from her emotional distress. Once she’s fully healed, she’ll be up for adoption to find her forever home!
